About the role
We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer as the first R&D hire in our London office, joining and working closely alongside our dynamic Israeli-based R&D team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side components of a web application, and the end-to-end development of new features. This involves creating scalable and efficient backend systems, databases, and APIs that support the application's front-end functionality. In this role, you will join one of our brilliant teams and be part of developing our company's SaaS solution.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the development and design of a significant and challenging product.
• Backend Development in C#.
• Lead and drive technical projects end-to-end.
• Build and manage execution plans, meet milestones, and mitigate risks.
• Support and contribute to our SaaS solution’s serviceability and sustainability, by troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Take part in software design, architecture, and code reviews of large-scale performance and high availability services.
• Conduct research and self-learning via various resources for the design and implementation of product vision.
• Ensuring the application is scalable, reliable, and secure.

Required skills

• 4+ years of experience in backend development.
• Strong development skills in object-oriented languages such as Java / .Net / Go.
• Excellent problem solving, investigation skills, troubleshooting and dealing with production issues at scale.
• Experience with large-scale system design.
• Hands-on experience with SaaS technologies, scale, high availability, and micro services architecture.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Experience with REST API, Kubernetes and AWS/Azure.
