Astrid grew up in the Blue Mountains of Australia, spending a big chunk of her life as a classical violinist before making a rather drastic career transition to study Human Resources at university.

From there, after accidentally falling into agency recruitment, she fell in love with her everyday interactions with candidates, and eventually moved into a hybrid role balancing recruitment with people operations—because apparently, one people job wasn’t enough.

Following the lift of the COVID travel ban in Australia, she packed up and moved to London, swapping mountains for the city life. These days, when she’s not busy with work, she’s probably thinking about food, eating food, or planning her next meal (some might say it’s a problem, but she disagrees).
