Volunteering across borders
Sharing more than just gains

Hackney City Farm
Hackney City Farm was established in 1984. It was an initiative brought to life by enthusiastic members of the local community who were inspired by the success of the newly formed Kentish Town City Farm. Their aim was to give youngsters and local people the opportunity to experience farming.

Front of the Home
Front of the Home is a social initiative created to support families displaced by war. It was founded to help transform empty, temporary spaces into furnished homes that offer warmth, comfort, and a sense of safety. Inspired by the belief that everyone deserves a place to belong, the project brings dignity and care to those rebuilding their lives.

Hackney Foodbank
Since opening in 2012, Hackney Foodbank has distributed over 864,632kg of food and household items to people in crisis or trapped in poverty in Hackney. They are a voluntary organisation and rely on the kindness of the local community to keep their doors open. They work with over 200 partners and community organisations to provide relevant support.
